May 2022 Update: We've had the truck back twice since the initial repair to our liftgate. TFS says there is nothing more they can do for us. The unit is not operating as it should. The safety hook has broken off twice, the unit will not go up with a load on it without quitting. The switch that was just replaced has loosened because instead of using two screws to mount it, they used only one. The smaller springs have loosened and have needed to be reattached. Some of the welds on the repair have broken. It cannot be flipped by one person.
Truck Fleet Services is NOT very good at diagnosing problems. After VERY costly repairs, the problems remain, and we are forced to look for solutions elsewhere.
John (owner) didn't care that his customer was upset. He made no apologies or attempts to explain anything. The team's response was limp.
I understand supply chain and part issues. If you don't have parts, you can't fix things. What is unacceptable is when someone doesn't do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it.
The verdict is still out on the repairs that were made. The product clearly had the work done to it, but it was not operating as we were led to believe it would.
